    DROS question.

    Ok i know its one new HG every 30 days. When does the wait start? Lets say I started dros on nov. 28th at 445pm picked it up on dec 10th. When can I start a new dros for a new HG.

    720 hours after you begin DROS on the first one... Just do NOT be even a minute early on the start of the new DROS. That would be a second handgun DROS within 30 days.

      count 30 - 24 hour periods from the time that they run your CDL through the computerized DROS. I will usually wait an extra day just so there is no question about it.

        I was told by a dealer that this does not apply to handguns that are purchased on consignment.

          True, but if you're buying in the city of LA you are covered by city ordinance so you have to wait 30 days before buying your next handgun.

            The 30 day rule only applies to FFL transfers (when buying a gun from dealer inventory OR when the gun is being shipped in from out of state, regardless of who the seller is).

            City of LA has their own f'ed up rule, too.
