    Springfield Ultra Compact .45

    Anyone own one?

Looking for a compact .45 but I don't want Kimber or polymer frame pistols.

    Thanks.

Owner of the gun shop buy my house has the SA UC .45 and loves it. he carries it all the time. An has nothing but great things to say about it. Personally it is very nice firearm.

Personally, I've found that the truly tiny 1911 types can be very picky about what they will run with. They HAVE gotten a lot better in recent years. Myself, I keep my 1911s about "Commander" length---my Springfield Champion Loaded 4" stainless has run just like a full size pistol---no issues---very accurate---runs 100%. If it had an aluminum frame, it would be a teriffic carry pistol. I would carry my HK 45C or my Kahr P45 if I wanted to carry a truly small lightweight 45 pistol.
