I have the SA 1911 Trophy Match in 45 and love the gun but wanted a 9mm as well. Well after waiting months for a SA1911 in 9mm and still no dates from Springfield when they will be available (my last call to them I was told they were on "production hold" with another 2 month wait) I decided to go a different direction.
A Sig 226 X-Five in 9mm. I was debating on this gun for a while now over the SA and had decided on the SA due mainly to the cost differential between the two. I picked it up on Saturday and did a strip search to clean and inspect (no rusty springs to be found
) Feel in the hand of the sig is perfect, fit and finish is perfect.
I shot about 200 mixed rounds through it (factory round nose, My reloads in flat point and XTP) and I have to admit that I am more in love than I have been with any of my handguns. This thing shoots SAAWEEETT! Hardly no recoil and very good groups.
Here she is.....

I am looking forward to many, many more rounds.........
