PPU .45 Ammo

At a friend's behest, I picked up 200 rounds of Serbian PPU .45 ammo at the last local gun show. I never heard of it before and, frankly, the low price made me suspicious. I only got it because the guy usually knows what he's talking about. I was doubly-dubious, though, when I did a Google search afterward and found a mixed collection of reviews. Some people just didn't have any kind words for it. So yesterday I took my XD-45 and SA 1911 to the range and shot off a couple of boxes. This is great stuff! I had absolutely no problems and plan to get more at the Ventura show in 2 weeks.

Am I the last guy on the planet to discover PPU? Has anyone else had any issues with it?

It's FMJ? If so, then who cares? It is plinking/practice ammo. The cheaper the better. Unless it is reloads... Which it is not. You don't want a double load and have the gun blow up on you, I had that happen once or twice

I have/had a bunch of Prvi Partizan 5.56 (shot most of it)... I think I've bought 7.62x39 in the past too...

It's made in Serbia (home of Zastava) = good stuff.

It seems to be more expensive lately than when I bought it (but everything is)... and with Yugo surplus gone, I suspect the Prvi 7.62x39 will become even more pricey...

Home much was the .45 at gun show? I've been looking for decent price bulk in .45

Sorry for the delayed response, LBDamned. The price was $14.95 per box, or around $81 (inc. tax) for the 5-box package I bought.
