I'm going to buy a Glock in the near future and am trying to decide between a model 23 .40 cal or a model 21 .45 auto. I'm won't do a lot of shooting with it as I spend 99% of my shooting time on the skeet range. I want a good, dependable pistol for home defense, carrying with me when I'm flyfishing the back country in the Sierras and for killing zombies when the apocalypse comes.
I like that the .40 cal is a little smaller, but I'm sure the .45 auto has more knockdown / stopping power. based on these two choices, which one do you guys think is the better option?
