    Haley Strategic: Trigger-stripe Drill

I just finished watching this & thought this was a really good video as I've been struggling a bit as a beginner with a double/single action handgun. Thought you guys may like it too. That old man is good!

Now if only I had any handgun ammo...

So far the Haley videos seems way better then the magpul stuff. Less goofy lingo and flashy, more straight forward.

I hope to take one of his kalash classes, he does them pretty regularly just north of Austin. Classes are super expensive though from him.

I haven't checked prices for his new classes but I'm sure they are! I like that he has quite a few drills on his channel + targets provided for you to print out & try it yourself.

i don't get what they are trying to teach in part 2. i understand you don't punch the gun down and try to float the front sight in the gray area, but they never said how to do that...

part 1 made much more sense with using muscle specific controls to help re-center the shots under speed to fix the trigger finger.

He said to " let the gun go off" and "to do nothing." I figure he meant don't fight the recoil.

I keep forgetting the older gentleman's name but he looks very in control when he shoots those 5 rounds of .45 acp.

                  Good post
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

He has three free different targets available for download too. Nothing beats free.

Ron Avery had been in the IPSC game a long time. You'll hear him named in the same circles as Rob Leatham. I remember watching his Secrets of a Professional Shooter DVDs several years back. Good meat and potatoes stuff.

Same thing you do when shooting USPSA competition. That's where all that stuff comes from.
