    Extreme Shock

Has anyone had any experience with the Extreme Shock Fank Face defensive rounds? The manufacturer says that 1 9MM round took out a 505lb boar. Shot placement aside that seems a lot more stopping power than most other defensive rounds.
    Any input?

Thanks for the info links. Sounds like it is all hype. I will stick with my Ranger 127gr +P+ for now.

I have spoken with a lot of former and current LEO, SWAT, and FBI personnel and none said they trusted the Extreme Shock. Most said the Ranger ammo was what they carry now. Its also what have loaded in my glock.

Yes, I could tell you it was a joke just by how they're marketing it. If the product doesn't sell well without massive hype, then you're buying the hype, and not the product.

Santa Clara, as well as a number of other county Sheriff offices are strictly using Ranger ammunition. If you are not LEO and wanting to use a self defense round, there are many products that offer better performance, but just stick with Hydra-Shock.

If you end up shooting someone in self defense, even if it is justifiable, you will have to explain your choice of ammunition, and a crime lab forensic report saying you're using "Cop Killer X" or "Devastating Flesh Wound" brand bullets will not look to be in your favor.

Ask your local Police department or Sheriff's office what brand of ammunition they use, and stick to that if at all possible. SERIOULSLY AVOID USING RELOADS OR HANDLOADS FOR SELF DEFENSE! If you stick to factory ammunition, of a brand that is in use by the local LEOs, they'll still try to get you, but have much less of a case against you. If you ever go into a civil wrongful death suit, your bullet selection may seriously play into the matter, and in a close case, the fact you used Black Talon or some other cartridge could tip the scale against you.

Heh. Ranger SXT, aka "it's NOT black talon, HONEST!"?

That's what I keep loaded too - that or Federal Hydra-Shok's.

Be sure to look at their finger placements.....

It is definitely an example of what NOT to do..... (and what NOT to use..... "extreme shock".....)

Careful guys, these things turn "the density mass into an expanding rotational cone of NyTrilium matrix particles, causing neurological collapse to the central nervous system." Whatever the f*** that means. ...rotational cone...

BTW, Google search on NyTrilium yields only links to E-shock ammo. Must be a new element discovered by physicists at Extreme Shock, should be added to periodic table any day now. Nobel Prize people must be asleep.

LOL. i saw this junk at the shot show and it was funny, the company looked like a bunch of used cars salesmen with their attitudes. I've seen this stuff sold at local gun shows by that guy richard stefani. He was suppose to give me a free box for messing my ccw up but i never got it. Just as i never got my completion certificate.

can you use +p ammo in glocks? i thought it was a bad idea to to use them cuz i swear i remember reading that the higher pressures caused glocks to fail early.
