    I beleive this is normal.
I have seen a few 92FS and M9 pistols with a slight wear mark. But these pistols had well over 2000 round Im sure.

Edit: Meant to add that the wear was not down to the aluminum, it was very light but still can make out the markings. Agree with post below!

Well, I personally probably wont let it wear down anymore then it should. If I recall correctly, that part is a MIM part so ther back of that bar may have some rough area causing the wear. I would take the part out and polish the backside a little.

So should the part be bent in or pushed out a little? On the M9 I looked at it's flush.

Well I looked at several 92's, young & old and none of them had a mark like that.

The part your blue arrow is pointing at is called a trigger bar BTW....On all of my 92's the trigger bar doesn't reach that part of the frame (where your mark is) when the trigger is pulled. So I feel pretty confident is saying the mark isn't from any contact between the trigger bar and frame.

Could the mark be from a holster? Some holsters I use employ a plastic part which fits into the trigger area to secure the gun in the holster.

Anyway, hopefully somebody will be along soon with the magic answer.

          Good Luck.

The gun has never been holstered even and I just tested and the trigger bar clearly moves over the wear mark and makes inward contact on the gram the whole time. The other 92s I noticed the trigger bar is not pressed in.

The stupid spell check on phone messed up. I mean when I pull the trigger the trigger bar does rub over this area.

I say the best thing to do is field strip or just remove the slide and slowly press the trigger till you can see the contact points.

I would remove it and polish it as someone said.

The trigger bar it tight on against the frame from above pic.

OP... your best bet is to remove it, and just buff the back area. You may remove some finish... but its a MIM part, so I personally wouldn's worry too much.

Thanks for all the help. Just talked with Beretta and some models have tighter tolerances and this is normal.
