I bought mine direct from S&A. Have you tried them?

        Order directly from them.

They're really great people to deal with. In addition, if you order from them depending on how much you spend they'll give a nice little discount (10% off $100+, 15% off $200+, etc). I've shopped around and with the discount buying direct was cheaper than everywhere else.

+1 on calling them directly. I have a SA EMP and the magwell has to be custom fit to the frame which they have one of in house. The CS rep I talked to was very nice and took my order and I had my magwell in about a week and a half.

springfield uses the ils system that has a different mainspring housing kit and will not fit S&A mag guide . you might as well buy the kit from S&A as well.

In that case, you might consider having Springfield custom fit an S&A magwell. The Springfield version comes from S&A as a blank, which is slightly oversized at the base and does not have checkering. It is machined, blended, contoured and fit to your frame, and machine checkered in your choice of LPI. The off-the-shelf, version will have a sizeable gap between the frame and magwell, and the checkering is cast into the magwell, not machined.

Just bought one last week (Thursday I think). I had to call at lunch since they are 2 hours ahead. Took about 3 calls to get through and once I did the lady on the other end was very efficient and nice. 5 minutes later, order done and back to work. I bought direct mainly because of their warranty and they seem like a quality family owned and operated business (which I like to support). Hoping to have it by this upcoming week.

You can use the old internals, but since replacement parts are cheap, no reason to.
Springfield uses a longer cap, and shorter spring at 30 lbs.

Normal hammer spring on a 1911 would be at 23 lbs.
I have a couple at 19 and 21 lbs, no noticeable difference at all.

Just looked at the custom shop list and I think I am going to go this route so it fits perfect with no issues. I think while it's there I will have them maybe due a trigger job and possibly a reliability package. Any one know what the usual turn around time is for something like this?
