The Browning high power is the best 9mm of all time.

I wish that your opinion is the case. Although the BHP is my all-time favorite pistol, it has drawbacks:
          1) Mainly Trigger - It definitely needs a trigger job to get rid of the creep and grit (magazine safety) as well as compensate for the long trigger reset (a smoothening/action job can do it). Some pistols come out of the factory with decent trigger, but it can be made a lot better.
          2) These pistols are not exactly rated to shoot +P or +P+. If you wanna shoot +P or +P+, either use a heavier recoil spring (18.5 #) or get a .40SW BHP and fit/install a 9mm Conversion Barrel, but the latter will stop being a true 9mm BHP.

Don't get me wrong, I have 2 ( a FN marked SFS model in .40 SW and a FEG Single Action 9mm clone) and I will sell my other guns before I sell my BHPs, but I think BHPs are the best 9mm pistols only if properly customized and tuned.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

It's a toos-up with me. The Beretta 92F and Glcok 34 run neck and neck with me. I carried the Beretta when I was a LEO and I currently use the 34 more than any other auto. I'd take either one in a pinch. As a matter of fact, I routinely carry one or the other in the shop and whichever one I'm not packing is under the counter.

I guess you are old school... don't get me wrong, a 45 acp is a great cartridge with awesome stomping power, but today's technology in 9mm hollowpoints is nothing to be denied, but let's not get this thread into a 9mm vs 45 as I own and shoot both, let's keep it as the ultimate 9
