Today at the range, the slide stop broke on my 1911 Mil-Spec. The gun functioned fine and spring tension held the pin in but I took it as an omen and put her away for the day. I've never seen anything like that happen but it did. I took it by Jim Hoag on the way home for an expert opinion and he suggested it was metal fatigue and to just replace the part. I called Springfield, got a live person quick and they are sending me a new part no questions asked. The tech was pleasant and seemed to really know what she was doing. All and all, I am extremely pleased with the experience, as far as service they are second to none.

I will second the customer service. I was on hold for about 2 minutes then got Patty. She was a pleasure to talk to and got me squared away fast. Now when I call I just put in her EXT. Also Deb in service is top notch.Originally posted by LBDamnedSerious people make real change in their lives... Others complain on forums.
