    FIRST 1911

Put a down payment on a RIA M1911-A1 today at SO CAL GUNS, entry level gun that seems to have very good reviews.

    I shot a friends S&W 1911 yesterday and shot a 10 shot 1-1/2" patern at 15'

I cant do that with my Glock 17 with a 1000 rds on it.

I hope it shoots as well as my glock and i'll be happy

While I congratulate you on the new purchase of a 1911, groupings will improve more as the shooter hones in his skills vs. upgrading the gun.

But anyway, your RIA purchase can't do you wrong! I'm hoping to have enough by the end of the year to own a Baer TRS and join the 1911 club.

Great pick. RIA 1911's are the best entry level 1911's, IMO. You can't beat the reliability out of the box.

It is not going to be as accurate as your friends S&W but it will be right there with your glock.

My first handgun will be the Glock 34 but the more I get into guns the more I think my 2nd will be a 1911. Glock in 9mm and 1911 in 45ACP will be a nice combo Then there is always the lure of a 22 handgun as ammo cost is a biggie for me right now and the Sig Mosquito, GSG 1911 in 22, and SR22 all look good. Choices choices.

Having made that jump before I can say it will be fun. I never put down the Glock for good though because .45 prices are serious business lol...
