    Sig Sauer SP2022?

I found a good deal on this gun and need opinions. I had a Sig P226 in .40 great shooter and never had a FTE, FTF but the slide never locked to the rear on the last shot. I shot other P226 and never had that problem I also shot the P229 and P220 also never had that problem. Enough about that issue.

I found a good deal on the SP2022 and just want opinions about the gun. Accuracy, reliability, trigger and overall opinion of the gun.

You should get one if you're a sig fan or new shooter. I persoanlly think the gun is great, the only complaint I have that my .40 sig pro doesn't pick a round from the mag when I have a mounted light on it. I started a thread about it few months back, I haven't heard anyone else having the same issue but me.

Thing is, sig didnt do a dang thing about it. So my word of advice, get the 9mm, if you do want the .40, there is a chance that it wont functional well with a tac-light.

i've never had the said problem from above. mine is a 9mm and a great shooter..best bang for the buck for sure. has a great trigger pull (i like it more than my p229) and is very accurate. the only problem i have with it is on the last round, the slide doesn't lock back. could be me, or it could be the mag spring. other than that, again, great gun for the money. in my opinion, they could be selling for more $$$. i got mine from buds gun shop online for $447 w/nite sights and shipping...hope this helps.

It's most likely the sensitive slide release, happens to a lot of people actually.

Try shooting with your left, if it keeps on happening, time to buy a new mag spring.

Its a nice gun for sure but its no P2xx series.

BTW I don't know what you consider a good deal, but I've seen them new for $350, defiantly worth the price. Check the for accessories sale section here, Sig pro 9mm/40/357 mags for $15 ea, smokin deal.

This is a gun that gets brought up here several times a month. Threads on this gun come up almost as frequently as the "What should I buy for my first handgun?" or "Where can I shoot in the desert?" threads. Its almost the unofficial gun of Calguns. Very favorable overall, check out just some of the threads:

I have one myself and I think its great, for the money.

When I first shot the SP2022, I rode the slide release. After adjusting my grip and some patience, it was fine. I don't think anyone disagrees that the SP2022 is a very nice gun.

I have the .40 and love it. It was one of my first guns and is still one of my favorites to shoot.

The SP2022 is a great gun. I couldn't be more happy with mine. Great trigger pull, accurate, no FTE/FTF. You will love this pistol. Extremely underrated for the price.

I did have issues finding 10 round mags, but was able to get a deal off of a fellow CalGunner. People say the 2340 mags will feed 9mm, but I haven't tried it personally.

                          Congrats on the possible purchase

My first pistol and an excellent gun. I would highly recommend it!

Sig SP2022 is a great gun for the money of course. It's not the p-series of Sigs, but it is not a sub par.
True enough, I would get the p-series if I had the money but I'm not disappointed.

Underrated, right cost, accurate, reliable, Sig Sauer = perfect
