Been there a few times myself. I really like that small friendly shop atmosphere there. It's the way I remember gun shops in the 1970s. Yes -- great guys too.

I have been to Bain & Davis many times. Pete has helped me out with my 1911 & Dave has given me excellent shooting tips. These guys are the best. I will only support stores with great customer service and Bain & Davis does just that.

They do have some great customer service, although they were a little ticked when I asked if they performed SSEs for off roster pistols, they claimed it was illegal and I could expect jail time and/or fines.

They said the same thing about fixed mag EBR's. I don't blame them for being cautious with their FFL. It's their livelihood.

To keep this handgun related, I also like how they keep a good selection of used and consignment pistols. Better than what you'd find in your average Turner's, that's for sure.

They do great work.Ive used them several times.Part of being good is the fact that they take their time on their work.Because of this,don'texpect to get your gun next week,or even next month.They are not fast,but they do good work at fair prices. My experience ( and that of a few buds)

Bought my first gun there. Dave and everyone treated me great. For some reason they insisted that a retail DROS was $35 though...

They are great people. The only things I won't deal with them are stuff like SSEs, OLLs and EBRs. As a business, they are within their rights to deal or not deal with those items. For gunsmithing services on my handguns and shotguns, I seek them as they've done great jobs for me. For other items, I look elsewhere.

I've had great work there. Pete replaced the hammer spring and trigger on my CZ. After 4 weeks when I came to pick it up I found the DA trigger wasn't resetting. No problem at all, they kept it and fixed the issue inside of it. It needed some polishing around the trigger bars around the mags. They didn't charge me extra. To add to it, I mentioned to Pete about if he could do the E2 grip installation on a p226, but he didn't have the part. 3 weeks later he called me back and told me parts were now available.

Bain Davis

They do great gunsmithing, have always used them for repairs and parts, they were able to fix one of my pythons by locating a cylinder ejector spring and bushing that no one
else had.
