Any M&P 9mm Compact owners yet?

I've been browsing around, haven't seen that much info on these yet. I'm curious how they stack up against the Glock 26.

    Anyone?

I own one and don't own a Glock 26 so I can't comment. Buy one and shoot it, you won't be sorry.

I saw one choke at an IDPA match, I didnt ask why, but seeing guns do that freaks me out.

I have one, and love it. Size-wise, it is like a Glock 26, but with much better ergonomics. Although the standard capacity is 12 rounds, 10-round magazines are available. I sent mine to Dan Burwell for his standard trigger job. Now, its trigger is superb: light and smooth, with an exceptionally short and crisp reset. I highly recommend this. I have put over 500 rounds through mine without a hint of trouble. Here is a snapshot of mine.

If yours comes with a magazine disconnect, Dan can remove it at the same time he does the trigger job. See: http://www.burwellgunsmithing.com/M&P1.htm

I bought a used M&P9c as a second gun to my M&P45. It's my favorite 9mm. Don't know about the Glock, but I like it better than the Walther P99.

That doesn't mean much. If I picked my guns that way, I wouldn't have any handguns.

I have seen a lot of different brands and types malfunction during matches. 9 times out of ten, it comes back on the magazine and/or the Operator.

"Most people understand that guns deter criminals. If a killer were stalking your family, would you feel safer putting a sign out front announcing, "This Home Is a Gun-Free Zone"? But that is what the Westroads Mall did" (in Omaha, Neb).

I know that observation was completly worthless, but I always take notice when a gun dose this. I saw a guy who could not stop limp wristing his G17.
