I was given a colt trooper from a family member and wanted to see what it might be worth. Its a 38 special in really good shape and shoots super nice. Very tight and smooth. Seems to be all original and bluing is good. It dates to about a 59 or 60. Here is what is on the barrel. Colt trooper ctg 38 special . Thanks for your input...

Thanks for your input. It is a nice little piece. I just wish it was a 357..If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.

I'm not disagreeing on the values posted, but those grips if sold separately would go for a few hundred dollars. I don't recall if the earliest Python used the gold or silver medallion, but full checkered stocks like that are very hard to come by.
I'm kind of surprised to see them on a 4" Trooper, I'd have thought that gun would have come with plain old service stocks. I had one years ago in 38 Special and in 22 lr, pretty sure each had the service type. I may be mistaken, it's been a while.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment
