    Glock caliber 9, 40 or 45?

I am looking to buy a Glock but have some trouble to choose the right caliber and size. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

What about Glock 10mm specifically G29?

Oceanbob will be here shortly to explain why!

Personally, I like the .40S&W and I feel that the Glock handles it very well. That's my opinion though and there are thousands out there that feel exactly the same about the 9 and the 45.

Go find a few to rent and try them out for yourself. If you want to try out a subcompact in 40, and you're down in Tulare you're welcome to try my model 27.

OP, the way you asked this, it's almost impossible to give you good advice. Way too many variables to give advice like this. And 10mm is great for woods. Not great for lots of shooting practice unless you reload.

The 40's and 9's have the same frame.
The 45's and 10's have the same (bigger than 9/40) frame.

Glock 19 a well balanced (right there in the middle), 26,17,34, are good as well.
Glock 30 > 21, any day in the .45 caliber, unless you really need an long grip.

Sorry, this will come down to a caliber debate, only you can decide that...good luck!

I own a Glock 21 and lub it. A little big for my hands, but I work around that. .45 is the only caliber that I like for pistolas.

I personally would go with a G17. The way ammo continues to rise in price getting a 9 would allow you to go to the range and get more hand time. Now if you already have a 9 get the 40. Its always good to have a variety.

Having fired a G21 for the first time today, I found the 45 to be to large in my hand and not as comfortable as my 1911's to shoot. I have a G19 and a 23 that fit me like a glove and are a joy to shoot.

Get a big one (.40 or 10mm maybe) so you can drop in conversion barrels to shoot another caliber. Two guns in one!

I wish Glock would make a .45 ACP on the 19/23 frame.

Get a .40 S&W and then a 40-9 conversion barrel (Lone Wolf) and 9mm magazine and shoot both .40 S&W and 9mm from one pistol. I do that with my G23 and often shoot both .40 and 9mm on the same trip to the range.

                              9mm all the way...and .45ACP later on.
