    Ruger P345

I've owned a P345 for about 2 months now, put 500 rounds downrange and LOVE IT! I can hit anything I want. I love the weight and feel, perfect trigger but I'll admit I'm still trying to get use to the DA pull. I need to get brighter sights for it though...

My question is, how come I see so little about these out there? No one talks about them, at least not like they do about SR9/c or the 40/c...I think its a nice gun!

Also, any recommendations on better sights? What does it take to put night sights on it? I'm thinking of using it for HD.

    Thanks!

^ + 1. I love mine as well. I also need brighter sights, been nothing but reliable for me. This gun probably does not get the attention it deserves because people only want to mention glock this or glock that. At the end of the day this is a damn good, reliable, american made handgun.

I think because its only a RUGER single stack in 45, its not the popular style
(1911,Glock, H&K,Sig). Its as you know a very reliable pistol.
Bought mine used but it runs like a champ.
      Happy Shooting

I think one of the deciding factors of getting it was because it WASN'T one of the common ones everyone else have...

It just feels so good in my hands!

Not quite the same, but I have a P944 that I've had for a few years, and I love it! Tough as a tank and shoots great.

I did have problems with my OEM sights (dot popped out!) so I upgraded to Mepro and think they made a great addition to the gun. You can install yourself if you have the tools and expertise, but for not too much money, it's worth having a smith do it for you.

Thanks I'll check those out, and I probably will have someone else install them for me.

I lust after the ruger P series more than most glocks.

This is the only one I've seen in person so far, I'm very new to handguns. I just new I needed this one. Do they still make P series anymore?

also the ergonomics of that gun are great. fits so naturally in hand, put on a hogue rubber grip for extra comfort. I dont think they make any more p series after the p345, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I hope to be picking mine up this week...fingers crossed.

I love the grip profile on my SR9 so I hope to love it on the P345 as well.

Had one that I really liked but traded it for a 1911 . . . will get another one one day.
Made a good carry gun, would like to find one without the rail

I'm a huge ruger fan and the P345 is an impressive weapon. I bought a P90 (Its aloy framed Bro) from a CGer and am in love with it. The P series is one of those lines....people who ACTUALY shot-owned them love them. A bunch of Ruger haters out there though. They see a resonably priced firearm and assume it must be junk..(?) Ruger and the P line is like the Rodney Dangerfield of firearms..."No Respect!"

                            +1 Exactly!!

I'd recommend my SR9 over a XD, Glock and Sig any day.

There almost needs to be a Ruger meetup and shoot to help overthrow this horrific misunderstanding and lack of love! No one ever see's me hate on Glocks, it just wasn't for me...
