    Sig P226 slide jammed

Hey guys just got back from the firing range and my slide jammed forward with a round in the chamber. I tried putting the front end of the slide against something ridgid and it won't budge.. anyone else have this problem? Anyone know of a good gunsmith in the high desert or san bernardino area? Please help!

Did you try firing the round stuck in the chamber down range?
Not to familiar with Sigs but perhaps try:
    Safe direction
cock the hammer and try to pull the slide back?

It happened while I was shooting and I did pull the trigger and nothing happened, I tried racking the slide back and its stuck jammed forward, I tried decocking it and pushing the slide open and with the hammer cocked back...no luck

Did you try to move the slide back after you took the mag out?

              Hmm interesing.
If all else fails, try having a gunsmith look at it, I cant think of any other safer way to do it. Good luck!

A loaded round in the chamber does not make it quite the best situation, but hopefully it will be something simple.

Wish I could help, Would like to hear what you find. so if it ever happens to mind I might know what to look for.

Can you tell us what it was and how you fixed it?

Took a brass dowl and stuck it down the barrel and put pressure on it by pressing it on the ground and tapped the back of the frame while having pressure on the dowl and it popped free!

Mod_monkey, now you have me curious. Why do you think it was so tightly lodged? Was it just the angle of cartridge that happen to catch in the chamber?
