I shoot like ... to the left

I cant figure out why I keep shooting to the left with my glock27.
Its really starting to bug me alot. I cant figure out what im doing wrong.
I relax as much as possible.
    I'm right handed.
    I squeeze triiger straight back
And I still hit to the left about 2-4 inch's.
Does anyone in the tracy/stockto/livermore area that is very good with a pistol give me some 1on1 pointers. I'll pay a little money.
Feeling is understandable, but let's not defeat the word filter, please.

If you swap hands and shoot left handed, what happens?

Confirm that your sights are OK by having someone else at the range fire it a few times. I confirmed that I was the weak link with my glock 21 when my friend kept hitting bullseyes with it!

Dry fire it and see if your sights move. Are you anticipating recoil and jerking the gun?

do you have the finger grip extension on the mag?? a while ago i was interested in buying a 27 so i rented one. i found it very hard to hold and the recoil seemed a bit stiff. i never did buy one after that.

On my XD it was the sights. I had to push it over. Still, even after it is sighted in perfect, I shoot to the left a bit. I think that is excessive trigger finger.

Other "good shooters" can hit the center no problem. Moral of the story, it could be a combination of issues you are dealing with.

Slip a snap cap into your mag; if the front sight moves when you "fire the blank", you'll know. If you have several mags, load one to 6,7,4,8, whatever, mix it in with the others so you don't know when it's coming.

Shooting left, especially low left, is most often a sing of "flinch"

                  Good luck...stay safe

I would say the sights needs to be adjusted. if you can adjust the sights from side to side then try that. Can you have someone else shoot the gun and see where they hit? Any burrs or misshapen area of the barrel. Dents in the ammo?
Did you recently change ammo brands?

If the sights are good then I'm thinking your squeezing with your left hand just a little before you fire. Will pull the gun to the left a wee bit.

Like others said, get one or two either people to try your gun and see how they do.

Also how do you shoot with one hand?

llamatrnr's ball and dummy drill is one that many many match shooters employ. You will absolutely see if you are flinching or pulling the shot when you "snap" on a dummy.

+1 on using dummies and dry firing.

Another option is for you to fire the gun from rest and see if your pistol/ammo combo is screwy.

It is very common for right handed shooters with Glocks. I do it as well. The more practice you get, the less noticable it will be. Especially if you get some training. The midweight trigger pull is not as forgiving as say a 1911 with a lighter shorter pull so you have more time to pull yourself slightly off target. Training, dry fire practice, and range time will all help iron it out. The longer you go inbetween sessions the more you will notice it.
