    Hogue P226 grips.

I've basically worn out my non finger grooved rubber hogue's that I've had for 2 years now. For 11-13 bucks I'm buying more, but I'm finding the rubber just causes my hand to sweat too much.

Anyone have experience with the Hogue G10's or alum. grips?

I have used them before but this is a west german Sig so I'm worried about gap issues. I sent it in for that service package so the springs are the new and better ones, but I am leaning toward newer grips.

I'm on the waiting list for some G10's from Hogue for my 226. Right now the "Black/Grey" ones are all backordered, so it will be about a month before mine come in.

I can let you know what I think when they get here...

I have the G10 "chainlink" on my sig. They are very rough textured. Love them. I've always been a rubber guy but love my new chainlink grips...

The texture "strength" goes from checkered (slight texture), piranha (medium texture) to chainlink (most rough)

I also have a set of checkered g-10 grips on a 226. They feel nice. Another possiblity is to get a standard sig plastic grip that has been checkered by hogue. They where availible on hogue's auction site. I think you can still send them a set to be checkered, but I do not no the price or wait time.

              Here's a stainless 226 with a set of Hogue Checkered G-10s G-Mascus Green.

I have a couple of sets of the G-10 Checkered and find them to be very comfortable, much more than the plastic OEM. I also have some aluminum grips but don't care for how harsh they feel. One advantage the Hogue's have over the aluminum is if you find the texture too aggressive, you can lightly brush them with very, very fine sandpaper to take some of the grip from them.

Hey sig marine, I think when I called sig on the phone back when they were doing a G10 sale that the older p226 would not fit it due to the connector/wire on the right wide of the grips, it's like sorta a circle. Since I got the updated springs and screws, should the alum fit?

I got an offer from someone for alum. Grips and want to make sure they would fit.
