Maybe it's because my 40th birthday is fast approaching, or because the 1911 design is so damn good. Either way I'm hooked. I took my Sig 1911 Tac out today and ran 300 rounds through it. No hiccups, no drama just a bunch of closely grouped .45 of an inch holes in paper. I shot Blazer brass and aluminium, and LAX reloads, it ate all of it without any fuss. Even managed to break it down a few times and avoid an idiot scratch. Now I have my eye on a Springfield.

Congratulations! I'm also waiting for my first 1911 to get out of jail. And It's a Sig railed Tacpac!Comment

i had the Springfield loaded 1911 and loved it, traded it for a sweet M1 Garand. Replaced it with a Sig 1911R, a Para LTC 1911 and a Rock Inland tactical1911. Love them all maybe the Sig and Para more but for a 100 year old gun it rocks!! May try in 9mm someday but i don't know i feel more accurate with a 45acp.Comment

Dare I say that it was the 1911's trigger that did us all in? Lord knows that magazine capacity isn't it and I'm quite certain that several manufacturers adopted the 17-degree grip angle in their offering.Maybe it's because my 40th birthday is fast approaching, or because the 1911 design is so damn good. +++ on the trigger!
I just can't get used to a Glock trigger. My new carry gun will be a "left in the dryer to long" shrunk down version. Lightweight Commander, Officers or ?????? Even tempted by the Springfield EMP in .40. Been waiting for years after I called Springfield about the EMP in .45 GAP. Still no sign of it. I was promised they were "working on it"."The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."
