Well it probably sounds pretty stupid but the only way to describe is to say by looking and by feel and by memory, all at the same time. Hard to explain other than what I wrote.
I've worked with my hands all my long life and lots of dexterity stuff is already in deep memory, like exactly where my parts are all the time, ya know? Like you don't need a mirror to scratch the exact spot on your head or nose that itches? Pretty much the same but I also glance down to see what I'm doing.
Sorry if that sounds lame but best I can do to describe. I guess I don't think about it much when I do it, just sorta do it and move on.
EDIT: Didn't see ElSolo's reply. Yeah, like that if the mag is in a pouch on belt. Again, never thought about it much until now, had to try it like I do it to even see what I've been doing.Last edited by Spirit 1; 03-26-2012, 9:17 PM.Comment

Those guys have also been practicing that move for quite awhile..."He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."

Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.
