        Make sure to change out the 2-piece full-length guide rod to a 1-piece or even better, a GI guide rod setup. I hate the fact that you need a tool to field strip a 1911 with a 2-piece setup. I've also heard reports of 2-piece rods coming loose during firing. YMMV
