Since you already have an autoloader, and being that the 9mm and .45 are so similar ballistically speaking, I would say go for the revolver. Then later save up and buy the 1911 and keep both

357 has more stopping power than a 45, especially if the barrel is longer

"Moms Demand Action" sounds less like a gun control group and more like the title of a porn flick from the mid-90s.

For reals, get both. You will not be happy with just one.
Besides, there is something nostalgic about a wheel gun. Like owning a .30-30 lever . . .

I' am not too sure on price but I think last time I purchased that ammo 357 was a little more. I feel it would be more economical for a 45acp. but a 357 is a must have for standard big revolver My Dad had a ruger security 6 magnum in 357 when I was a kid it was awesome! I want one of my own now!!

Ammo price is irrelevant. I reload and the difference in price per round was less than $0.03 for plinking ammo. I think I have made my decision and am probably going with the RIA 1911 CS, or the 4" model should work out as a great future CCW weapon.

bit the bullet, so to speak...Ordered the RIA 1911 CS 3.5" from budsgunshop a few minutes ago. $417 shipped, my receiving FFL is charging me $50 including the dros + CA tax so I will be just a few dollars over $500 by the time I have it in my hands. Pretty excited, now the wait on shipping then my 10 days can start.

If you choose to go with a wheelgun, I'd go with a S&W 642/442 for the same price as the Rossi, or the LCR if you really want something in .357.

Two things everybody should own are a 1911 in .45ACP and a .357 wheelgun.

If it was me, I would get the RIA 1911 and save $$$ till I could pounce on an older pre lock S&W wheelgun. That's just me. I am an unashamed S&W fanboi.
