    2nd range report (Gen3 G19)

Earlier today I took my G19 along with my 1911 to the range and I shot 200 rounds of Winchester WB 115gr through the G19. About 30 shells or so hit me in the face, head, chest, left forearm, or went directly over my head. Good thing I had safety glasses on. Other than that I've had no failure to feed or failure to eject. Has the upgraded ejector and extractor fixed these issues? On the other hand my 1911 shot like a dream with literally 1-2inch groupings with was nice.

    30 out of 200 isn't That bad.
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

What kind of 1911 do you have? If it showed in the pics sorry the Gov. Computers rarely show pics on forums.

Awesome pics! As i've stated in other posts...i've been using a Gen2, G22/23 extractor, and it helps a bit, still getting some brass to my face, but majority of it goes to 5 O' clock. some dribble to the left, and the ones flying at 6 O' clock are flying over my head (most of them).

At my last outing, didn't get any in the face (~250-300 rnds), just some erratic ejections (again, nothing in my face), not as bad as before.

Soooo, it's not quite a fix, but as long as i'm not getting brass prints on my forehead LOL.

I'd say give it 1K rnds...worst comes to worst, send it back to glock...or keep changing out extractors 'til you get a good one.

also, it may help if you gently re-angle the ejector by filing it...

Thanks Can't wait to look at actual pics on my laptop. and congrats on the grouping 1-2in is pretty impressive for a .45, I have been going back and fourth on a g17 or g19 as well I haven't shot the 19 anything different other then size of grips, barrel etc?

Yeah the majority of my shells were flying at 5 O'clock. I'll get to 1000 rounds as you stated before I act on it. The Glock runs great, but it's annoying getting those shells to my face etc.

The G17 is the full size and you can't go wrong with either the 17 or 19. The 1911 is a bit more accurate than the G19 for sure, but the 19 isn't bad. I sometimes read posts saying how the Glock isn't accurate at all and I think that's weird.
