    General Patton Guns, and Mine

Here are Patton's two famous sixguns and the Myres rig he carried them in. I can't afford ivory so sambar stag has to do for my "Patton" set. Actually, when I picked up the 3 1/2" Model 27-2 I noticed it fit pretty good with my 1957 Colt .45 to resemble Patton's guns. It wasn't planned out that way.
    Here's Patton's...

And my unintential Patton tribute pair...

I wonder if Patton actually used his pistols in combat? As a general, I'm sure he didn't, but he was not always a general. Then on the other hand, who in the Army other than a general would even be allowed to carry that?

I don't know if he fired these guns during WW2 (he did in the movie) but he did use the Colt to kill a couple bandits in Mexico where he was with Pershing in 1916 during his "punative expedition" after Villa. I think he took credit for killing three guys.
