    Glock sight recommendations?

So it's time to replace my stock sights on my Glock 17. I need some recommendations on sight replacements.

Getting into range shooting again and want to improve my accuracy. I do not necessarily need night sights but I guess it could not hurt since this is my only hand gun at the moment.

Let me know what you have tried and like?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

I just replaced mine with factory steel Glock sights. Didn't see any need for night sights.

I must be the only person on earth who likes the bucket sights. lol

Trijicon night sights have been on my Glock since I got it back in 1994 and they actually still glow pretty dang good for being 18 years old

        I love the stock sights...

But, if you want to change them, I have only heard good things about Trijicon night sights. There are many brands that will work just fine though.

I got the TruGlo TFO's after shopping around and searching online.
Supposedly some PD's in the bay area adopted it as well, would be nice if anyone can confirm.

Warren tactical with the fiber optic front. Have those on two of my Glocks. The other one for my G17 is the Warren Sevigny Competition with the fiber optic fronts.

My personal favorites are from Heinie. I like that they're serrated and that their rear notches are squared, not rounded. Either plain black irons, plain black rear with Dawson Precision FO front, or Heinie Straight Eight night sights, depending on the purpose of the pistol.

Im looking at getting the XS 24/7 Big Dot sights.
Check out the video's on you tube by James Yeagar. They seem like very good sights.

TRUGLO TFO are the best sights for Glock imo...

Whatever sight you go for I recommend a few things.
                        1) Rear sight = square notch not U notch. The U-notch is great for up close encounters to increase speed but when you are parked at the 25 yard line shooting for accuracy the square notch is better.
                        2) Serrated blades! This helps a ton to reduce glare.
                        3) Try to contact the manufacturer and see what the heights of the sight are. Since you are going for accuracy you might want to decide on a particular hold. For example 6-o'clock, flat-tire, center mass or combat (covering target). With a little trigonometry you can figure out what your point of aim/point of impact will be with the new sights.

Best in the market are probably Heinies.

Trijicon for my G17. Bright green front with dim yellow rear.

I have Truglo TFO sights on my g22 and to be honest the green dots are almost too big. At work we use trijicon sights and I had wished I would have stuck with them.

Truglo sights do look cool, and are very bright so if you can get past the large size of the dots id say go for it
