Perhaps I should try to glean some knowledge from you guys who have been doing the same routine for a long time.
I know my plan sucks, so I need some help. I pull out my Mossberg 500 and set it by my bed at night and it still has the cable lock in it (I have a young son), although it is loaded with 5 shells. I know it is going to take me waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy too long to unlock it and think I will still be breathing (though one hole
) if someone does break in. In the morning I pack it back up and stow it away. Rinse and repeat.
The question is should I bring out the shotgun and keep it unlocked and unloaded? Then IF I hear a bump in the night do I just drop a shell in and keep loading if I can?
What do you think?
