    CZ owners.

I have a CZ 75 Tactical Sports model in .40 cal. After purchase I broke gun down and found the buffer was not installed. My first 200 rounds worked fine. After cleaning I installed one of the extras givin by CZ. Next time out, I had jams. After 3rd jam I removed buffer and not 1 problem has occured since removal and have ran over 500 rounds without a prob. Only matter of concern is the slide closing if I quickly slam a mag home. Want to try a different manufacture of mags. When this happens the tip of the first round goes too high and jams. The feeding issue only happens when the slide closes after I slam the mag with bottom of hand. Great pistol, beautiful trigger. A 10 round mag at 25 ft leaves a oversized hole and 4-5 more regular holes. Wish they were available and not sold out everywhere I look. Any other .40 cal owners having probs? Thanks

What is a buffer? Is this to absorb recoil?

Not sure about other CZ models but my 75B and P01 did not have buffers. I never believed in shock buffers unless the gun was designed to run with one. I tried a Wilson combat buffer in my 1911 and it never ran 100% reliable.

i have no issues when i use a recoil buffer on my cz during range trips.
i do not recommend them if you carry. these tend to melt and turn to taffy when i used it on a class.

I don't run buffers in my CZs. I just keep the springs changed regularly.

No comment on buffers but the very large majority of CZ experts and experienced owners say that only Mecgar mags are worth a hoot. Promags have a bad reputation.

Whenever you hear about good guns jamming, its almost because someone put a buffer in the damn thing...

Yours came with a buffer? Didn't think CZ used them. Anywho, I'd suggest you throw it away. They cause more problems than they fix. In fact I've never heard of one fixing anything.

Guys, the tactical sports model is not the regular 75 series, it's the one they used to call the IPSC standard and costs twice as much. Different mags too.

Regarding the slide dropping during mag install, it may be caused by the mag bumping into the trigger bar/disconnector. Remove the slide and see if the mag tube is bumping it when inserting. The slide may start forward before the mag is all the way home.

The slide stop nub could be getting bumped by rounds in the mag and jostling it enough to drop the slide before the mag is all the way in. Similar deal, remove the slide and look at what is happening when a mag goes in.

That gun works better without the buffs, it doesn't really want them anyhow, why they bother including them is beyond me.

                        Wasnt it called the Champion?

Same trigger system, same basic gun for the most part. Either way, buffers are bad.

You nailed it. Thanks Seams these stamp steel mags are a lil different in a certain area. I have 6 buffers if anyone wants them. I do love this big , heavy pistol. Trigger is second to none. Now its time to send away and let CZ Custom make it even better with a alloy trigger and comp. hammer. Thanks Gentleman for the insight and direction in my purchase of this pistol

Ohh, FWIW Both my sp01 tac and 75SA will slide release if I slam the mag home. Same with the berreta I owned in the past.

Sorry to hear about your problems.
My TS in 9mm has had zero problems.
I have not put in a recoil buffer as yet(not included). I use one in my 1911's and my BHP.
I think you can order 10 rounders from CZ direct. I'm not sure if it's in stock.
                              Best of Luck
