    Looking for a new .45

I am looking for a new .45, and found a factory reconditioned Sig P220 with a rail for $600.00. The gun looks like new. I'm a lefty, and already have a Colt 1911.

Good choice? Any suggestions on another weapon for similar money?

Hell ya thats a good choice! I love my Glock 30 as well. Cannot go wrong with that sig my friend. Honestly, for now, look no further if you've held one and hopefully shot one. Either way I think you will love it

Glock 21 is one of my favorites. Pretty fun and comfortable to shoot.

I am into commonality of parts and accessories "magazines" so I would recommend pairs or triplets of the same pistols. Get another Sig or 1911.

I carry a Sig P220 DAK at work and being a lefty also, it's not the most user friendly gun, since all of the controls were designed for righties. But since us lefties are kings of overcoming that flaw in the world, it's an OK gun, you just have to switch hands to lock the slide to the rear if you have too. Its hard to keep the gun in your strong hand and manipulate the slide lock if you need to. Since you already have a 1911, you might want to look at a S&W M&P .45....Just something else to consider. All of the controls can be switched for lefties. I have an M&P and its an awesome gun.

Remember to dial 1 before 911.

Lol I do not. In fact on my Storm and when I shoot my brothers M&P I have the smallest backstrap on. I guess I'm just used to the 21.

                        Bought the SIG

Thanks for your suggestions. I went with the SIG P220 with the decocker and no rail. The trigger was shorter than the DA/SA, I also liked the single stack sights. I plan on putting a HiViz front sight on it.

The Glock is too big for my hands & the M & P felt good but I decided I wanted a hammer. The H & K was too much money and I have difficulty activating the magazine release.

Need to get it out of jail, degrease it and give it the FrogLube treatment.

                        Happy Birthday to me!
