Glad to hear none of your guns fell into the wrong hands. Nice job.

I assume this was due to him entering through a designated entrance door which of course you would use to enter through anyway that allows the delay for you to disarm the home? Did he kick in a door or something?

Maybe I should get a large safe for my long guns...

This is not the case. The burglar entered though the only windows that I did not have alarmed and set off a motion detector. All windows and doors are not properly alarmed and I'm with a new alarm company.

I like the guys who always have a firearm "within reach" in every room of their house.

Lock them up, or carry them.

Was it coincidence that he(or she-lol) just happened to come through the windows you didn't have alarmed, or was it potentially an inside job? Seems like they also knew exactly were to find your guns as well.

Oh man good to hear that nothing was taken and a broken hammer was the worse of it. After acquiring multiple rifles I too bought a safe in fear that my house may be broken into and they used the guns for something illegal.

I see. Interesting about that window then. Yeah the motion trigger should have been set to immediately set the alarm off, as it is in most cases.

Man glad to hear that nothing was stolen. I have a big safe for all of my stuff. When I had my alarm installed I had to pay extra to have all of my windows and doors hooked up. Was a little pricey compared to what they advertised but worth it. I can sleep better at night.

I don't know who broke in. Your assessment may be true. The cops when I called them over and explained everything did not even take a police report. They just said "keep your doors and windows locked".
