No mods needed now. Maybe upgrade the sights later on.

        Congrats...!

Congrats! At this point my G17 is my favorite gun. I would recommend some extra mags and ammo. I recently put a surefire x400 on the front for HD use if something like that appeals to you.

Congrats! No mods are required. Get some extra mags, ammo, etc. If you are looking to change something, I'd look into getting night sights or at least replace the stock plastic sights with metal ones for durability.

Glock 17, definitely my favorite Glock, maybe even favorite handgun. As I get older, simpler is better.

I have Trijicon, Meprolights and Heinies, but like the Trijicons the best.

There are no cheap mags for Glocks, only buy OEM.

For a light, I use the Insight M3, works well at a reasonable price.

The other mods I do for all my Glocks are install a 3.5lb connector and a G21 mag release, along with the Qwik-Grip.

Love the G17...My 1st gun..Had to get use to the trigger since i was use to shooting XD's and 1911's..But after a while i got the hang of it....Buying a Glock 17 really changed my mind about handguns..I though that i was going cheap at 1st when i bought it until i realize how reliable and durable it was...So easy to buy parts for it also...Nothing compares to it when it comes down to accessories and parts for a Glock...So easy to fieldstrip and clean...I must warn you though once you go Glock you'll end up buying another one lol...Im looking into a G23 now...

The G17 was my first gun, well first after a Hi Point. It's a 9mm and I have been reloading .40 and .45 so It has just been sitting in the safe for quite a while. I just Got a new Hornady LnL Ap and set it up for 9mm, loaded up about 75 rounds and took em to the range with my G17 and WOW, I had forgotten how much fun the Glock was. Yout gonna love it, No mods needed, use the extra money to get ammo and mags.

For competition (far left), the Dawson Fiber Optic front with the Heinie rear, for carry (2nd from left), the Trijicon 3 dots. The LoneWolf G34 top has a Warren Tactical rear, and I have only shot it in 2 matches, so I am decided at this point. I have 5 other Glocks, but they pretty much have all the same sight setups.
