    What to Polish

New to pistols and wondering what needs to be polished on my new Glock 17. I understand that things will work better if polished but dont know exactly how to or how much needs to be done. Your insight would be greatly appreciated.

Polish something else. Your G17 just wants to go shooting, every day, forever. Clean it on your birthday and it will be fine.

if you want a lighter trigger pull you can buy a reduced trigger pull connector. they have have one for 3.5 pound pull which is average for comp or carry.

Personally, like pretty much everyone else has said, I'd just shoot the heck out of it and after 300 rounds or so, then do the .25 cent trigger job, but you may find it unnecessary after that 300 or so rounds.

Oh and leave the gold lube on the underside of the slide there; it'll wear off by itself after time.
