I purchased a pistol on 12/9/07 from a local gunsmith that has his FFL . The transaction type is listed as "dealer sale". I am looking to purchased another pistol from a friend of mine as a PPT. Do I have to wait the 30 days from my first one?? When can I DROS the gun I am buying from my friend???

The state does not require you to wait 30 days on multipule PPTs. You can buy as many PPT handguns as you want but you can only buy 1 "Dealer Sale" within a 30 day period. You may purchase a 2nd handgun on the 31st day. However, by federal law the dealer MUST file a "Multipule Handgun Purchase" with the Feds and local law enforcement if more then 1 handgun is DELIVERED within 5 days of each other."Gun control is not about guns, it is about control"

Why am I not able to do the PPT in Los Angeles????? I live in Los Angeles county.
I called a couple of gun stores and they said they were not sure if it was OK or not. Any gun stores in LA that I should try??? I want to take care of this MOnday and Metroshot is closed thenComment
