springer precision XDm trigger kit? UPDATE: VIDEOS

    Update 3-22-12

Well I bought their kit and had a couple of problems. Called them up twice and their customer service was great. Apparently I hadn't filed enough from the trigger bar which was causing an issue. I had to press the trigger REALLY HARD to the back of the frame to get it to release the striker. Once I rounded the edge, it works much better.

Here's the problem, the trigger doesn't break nice and crisp at all. The reset is also not that great. Do I need to file the trigger bar even more so that it doesn't touch the frame at all?? What happens if I file too much? Anyone know?

If it's like the Powder River trigger, it shouldn't be too bad. Just gotta know how the springs go back in (that was probably the trickiest part). We had knocked the pins out and the springs went flying.........we had no idea how it went back in until found this link:

You can use these videos. They should help you out

You can call them. They are pretty good at responding and helping out. Just go slow and take your time. PM me if you have questions. I did a powder river on mine a year ago but put a springer in my uncles a few months ago

I've already checked those videos and their you tube account but nothing is included. The powder precision kit has several videos online on how to do it. Hopefully I find something or I'll message you later. Thanks.

            update on original post.
Not really happy with results so far. It might need a little more work. Let me know.

I sent my XDM 3.8 to Scott and had him go to town on it. Everything from sights, stippling, slide coating, trigger work, polishing, etc. I really don't agree with the "drop in kits". I personally prefer the maker/builder of the parts to do it themselves as any mess ups from my sanding too much would not be covered by them for obvious reasons.

I've sent him 2 Springfield firearms for the same stuff. They really are my favorite firearms to shoot. Speaking of which, I just got back from the range 10 mins ago with my xDM 3.8 and couldn't be happier.

Hopefully you can get his figured out. If not, I would suggest sending Scott the firearm and letting him get it precise. YMMV

My 3.8 is perfect from the factory, with my XS big dots on it.

I will say, that is one thing I like about sigs... No fitting needed. Drop the part in and go shoot some **** up! I'm surprised they told you to file away material...

The powder river kit I put in my xd was pretty much drop in. The only fitting was to remove material from the rear of trigger until it would fire then just take off a little extra for safe measure. The 2 springs and the sear bar dropped in. The trigger pull now is short with a short reset. One thing I like about besides being easy to install is now the trigger breaks farther forward. It use to break toward the rear of the trigger guard now it's about a quarter of the way forward.
