    Glock 19c slide

Is there anyway to buy a glock 19c slide? I would like to try it out, but I don't want to buy another 19, just to see if the GF likes the compensated better than the standard, and I don't know anyone/any near by ranges that have one.

Does anyone have a Glock 19c that could attest to the 19c being "better".

Finding a C model slide and cut barrel will be difficult. YouTube has some info but personally, a normal 19 doesn't kick much anyway. JMO.

9MM with a kick?! I start my friends who never shot before with a 9MM...and they do just fine.

I have shot both a 22 and a 22C (.40S&W), and the follow-up shots on target on the 22C felt easier for me. The exhaust also looks really cool, too!

But...there are the neigh-sayers who say that "Compensated guns are for a solution to a non-existant problem." Definitely recommend trying a Compensated Gun just to say you did.

i like the flames coming out in front. For me, its " not better" compared to the none "c", just fun during night shoots.

It's not compensated, it's ported, big difference. But for a 9mm, not much difference anyway. If you want less recoil, get a larger Glock, G17 or a G34.

            This is a comp

            This is ported

Glock sells their 'ported' barrels as a 'C' version.

They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

I've got a G19c and it doesn't reduce felt recoil at all. If anything it keeps muzzle flip down during rapid fire. I also shoot a G34 and felt recoil is dramatically less.

The main thing to consider with the C models is the noise. Shooting indoors or anything with an overhang creates a back blast effect when the blast shooting up from the ports bounces off the ceiling back towards you. My gf likes shooting G19c but doesn't like the extra noise compared to the G34. I'm planning to buy a non ported barrel to drop in for her.

Shooting at night is fun though.
