Was thinking about getting a xd 9....

But I already have a Xd40 and my buddy said I should just get a 9mm conversion for my current XD. I was looking and I found them for between 130-175. Can anyone tell me how good the conversion barrels are vs the factory ones. Also, This would help me keep my eye on the prize, which is a SA TRP full rail, by not having to drop a lot of money on a new gun.
