Advantage Arms 22 conversion

I'm taking my 13 year old, ballerina daughter to Front Sight for Spring Break. She's strong but only as big around as a twig.

I want her to get as much from the class as she can and not worrying about being beat up by the gun. I'm thinking of having her shoot my Glock 23 with an Advantage Arms 22 conversion for the class.

Do any of you have experience putting lots of rounds through one? Are they picky about ammo? Any other advise?

I have the conversion on my glock 22, love it
for ammo I use Blazer from big5 for $20.
it runs fine it even runa with cheap RGB.
the ammo that I keep away from her is the federal
doesn't like it

No troubles with mine but I only feed it Wolf Match target thru it.

I did exactly what you suggesting (because I am cheap) and did an 8 hour or so class with Tactical Avenues using a G23 with the AA .22 conversion. I shot probably 300 rounds of Golden Bullet, and had about 6-12 malfunctions that cleared with a tap and rack which isn't bad considering it's a kit.

Most of the instructors actually thought it was pretty cool until the time came to shoot pepper poppers and the tree. It just doesn't pack enough punch to knock'em down. So you may want to switch back to a .40 for those stages. I think it will be fine as long as you use the recommended ammunition.

I have 1911 conversion and its great. Mine hates federal and winchester wild cat ammo. Runs great on cci blazer, minimags and rgb
