I got to handle one when it when we ordered two to our store for leo officers. Its one of the smoothest da pulls Ive felt on a sig, and the grip felt awsome.

It looks like Sig is bringing back the idea of the Dan Wesson! It looks like they have a great product and if they do a good job with the execution (better than with the Mosquito) I think they will have a show stopper. The modular pistol idea is great and I could see it as a big selling point to militaries or large police departments. Time will tell if they got it right!

Not to piss sunshine on some of your clouds, but why do you think we won't be able to get this pistol in the PRK? The microstamping won't go into effect for several more years and I'm sure this pistol has all the safety devices that give folks like Pelosi hard ons.

Assuming it's submitted, design(s) accepted/pass, changes made if need be in a timely matter. We will have to wait and see. But I don't count on any good (gun products/laws) things happening in CA. anymore. Just me...

Don't forget about the Mag Disco requirement. I think that maybe hindering the intro of new guns on the list as well.

From a post on Sigforum by Bud Fini, Sig's VP of Marketing:
"For all members regarding CA and MA compliancy: We are currently anticipating beginning compliance testing in 2008. The issue is a loaded chamber indicator."

The current version doesn't have a mag disconnect, and Sig, at Sigforums, has said that they will not be adding a mag disconnect to it. I suspect that Bud may be confused...

Since I'm not up to all the laws, how is it that all the Berettas, Sigs, Glocks, etc are approved without mag disconnects? Is the mag disconnect only required on new designs submitted for approval?

I'm certain that given the modular nature of the design, a "California Fire Control" could be fairly easy to incorporate. Kalifornia is a big market and may well justify the cost in developing such an action, not to mention potential sales to militaries and PDs that might desire such a feature.

One of mag disconnect and loaded chamber indicator was required for guns submitted in 2006; BOTH are required for guns submitted in 2007 and after.

Guns on the Roster before 2006 are not required to have either.

Yes, and like boiling a frog slowly the liberal fascists that control California have found that passing these delayed implementation laws seem to be a good vehicle to remove our rights.

+1 the reply by Bud Fini from SF.

As F'd up and anti gun Cali is, it is a major player in the gun business. Ironically, the most anti gun state of CA has one of the highest sales of guns in the nation due to many law enforcement agencies located here and the many pro gun civilians. I would love to own a P250 but so far, it has not proven itself yet. And with Sig QA issues lately I would wait a few years to see if it follows in the old classic Sig out of the box accuracy and reliability or if it follows in the footsteps of their lemons like the GSR and Mosquito.

leelaw, I suspect you are right. I am too lazy to search right now, but iirc they said they were not adding a disconnect.
