Talk me out of a Hi Point C9

i mean i have a 9mm itch that needs to be scratched, shot a buddies the other day at the range and did pretty well with it, felt good in my hands and after reading numerous reviews and watching numerous videos from people that actually owns the gun and/or has shot one before, everything about it seems to be GOOD!

    c'mon Calgunners, should i give in...or not?

    Thanks!

It's cheap and it works. If you'd like one buy it.

You'll probably tire of it soon but it'll be available when you have use for a pistol you won't worry about scratching up or losing.

Perhaps you should shoot other 9mm guns to see if you like them better than the Hi Point. If you still like the Hi point best, then buy it for sure.

There's nothing wrong with Hi-points, they're just not pretty.
If you'd like to get more practice with a nine go for it.

budget comes to mind, and i have shot quite a few 9mm and as much as i like the glock i never really got comfortable shooting it, my local range doesnt have much selection just 92fs, sig, hk, glock and xd

What other gun can you buy brand new in CA for $150 and comes with a lifetime warranty? Virtually none.

            Buy it.

Yeah, I would try other guns before you decide. It depends on the applications you have in mind for it. But, I had one and it was fine until I took it completely apart and tried to put it back together again; I messed it up and sold it.

              I am actually looking into getting a .40 caliber hi-point - 200 bucks new

Don't know if I could ever buy one myself due to the fact that it is possibly the ugliest thing I've ever seen in the whole wide world (lol) but I've seen more than a few fantastic reviews on these little pistols. I recall a stress test video not too long ago that shocked me.. guy ran one of these things into the ground and it still fired pretty reliably. That, mixed with the fact that it felt good in your hands when you shot it makes me say go for it. With that kind of price tag its a win-win.

if you can deal with the look its a tough pistol. I cant get over it. still one of the ugliest, fattest pistols I have ever seen. Well worth the extra $200 NOT to look at it and get something else.

Its ugly as sh** but it works (most of the time) I'll probably break down and get it in 45 just for the hell of it.

Id love too but honestly theres no good reason to not get one. They are fairly awesome. I have many more expensive guns, and i have no misgivings about what it is. But for $150 you get a solid, acurate, reliable 9mm handgun with a lifetime no questions asked warranty.

The worst things i can say about it is that its ugly and the sights blow

It's ugly as heck but can be pretty reliable. If you like it, go for it. At that price it's almost free!

i had one fired almost 600-700 rounds with it and sold it, it was a great firearm and i wish i still had it. if you don't care about what the gun snobs at the range will say get it, I've never heard a BG say "yeah right" when it's pointed at him.
