    Night Hawk or Wilson

What gun would you buy the Night Hawk or a Wilson? I have been told good things about both but Night Hawk has more guns to buy on the CA gun list.

No i dont need to own them to comment on them, BUT i have personally seen, held and shot a 1911 from wilsoncombat, les baer, ed brown and nighthawk. To me they are all the same, you cant really go wrong with any of the top tier 1911 manufacturers. It just comes down to your own preference. Wilson and nighthawk looks better but all wilson, nighthawk, les baer and edbrown will shoot the same. But Baer will give you the best bang for your buck.

if im going to nitpick between my nighthawk and wilson, i prefer the wilson because of a better finish against holster wear.

With the nighthawk you can get their black diamond which is like melonite and I think they are changing their standard finish to something similar.

Ed Brown. Just kidding, I like Wilson. Not because of anything negative about NH. Just like WC line up better.

Which ever one you can get a better deal on because they are both good guns. I saw a Wilson combat for $2200 at my gunsmiths shop that was tempting but I keep thinking of all the things I could buy for that price lol.

                        Uninformed opinion you're offering then.

Nighthawk Custom was formed by some gunsmiths who left Wilson Combat, so it's like owning both if you get a Nighthawk Custom...or that's how I would look at it.

How it that uninformed? It's an opinion. They stated that after shooting the high end guns that they found them all to be about the same. They sounded informed to me. Les Baer has a reputation for having a better priced custom 1911s compared to the other companies like Wilson Combat.

As I've said before... they both make nice guns for now, but I would bet that Wilson stays in business longer than NHC.
