Anyone have a Beretta90-Two? Opinions?

I had a beretta 96, I was thinking of getting another but the 90-two looked cool in 40. I agree, anyone have any first hand knowledge?

Just how much is polymer on it?

I got my 90-two in 40 used from the classifieds here and I really like it. It looks like it was used pretty hard but it still shoots much better than me.

I know some people say the 40 recoil is a little snappier than 45 but for me, my 1911 seems much snappier.

Also, if you find the grip a bit too big, they sell a slimmer one that you can switch to easily.

I have a 92 and a 90 two, I def prefer the 92, the extra weight balances it much better and helps with recoil, I have a 96G conversion slide and used it on both the 92 and Two and still prefer the 92. .40 cal gives the berreta much more authority!

The 90-two is NOT polymer framed.

Its an aluminum framed pistol with a one-piece polymer grip design and a frame buffer built into the frame.The one piece polymer grip is meant to be a more ergonomic design than than original two-piece setups, but the grip it ships with is just as wide as a regular 92fs and the smaller sizes are the picture definition of vaporware-they exist, but no one's ever seen them. The sights are three dot with a luminous night feature;I wouldn't call them night sights as they require exposure to sunlight before glowing.

The one I had posed no problems in handling or reliability. If one does not mind the style or the ergonomics its a great choice.

I love my 90-Two! Not as snappy as my Glock 22 due to the heavier weight, and extremely accurate. Only downside IMO is the lack of accessories and aftermarket parts. Oh well, it's pretty flawless.

That what I was implying. I never said poly frame, that it had polymer on it, that said glad to hear people like them more or less, there just not common what so ever, let alone beretas in this market of striker fired pistols.

I like the rail cover attachment, its a nice touch. I like the look of the slide too, very updated so to speak.

I HAVE ONE!!! Although the previous owner got it and passed it on to me so I have no idea where to get one.

Yea they arent shown or seen alot around here but I may just grab one.

I HAD two here in CA. The grip is horrible, and other than a Hogue handall, the grip was slick as hell. No other options.

The gun is ALL steel, the slide is beautiful, and the recoil buffer (in the frame) is just a blue rubber/poly insert. Nothing against the recoil buffer. I doubt they will increase in value over what they sell for on GunBroker.

But - alas, they are a dinosaur, the 92A1 is basically a 92FS with the recoil buffer, but not available in CA. (Mag disconnect is NA).

As was also stated above. The parts don't mix and match on the new guns.

Part of the fun of owning a Beretta 92FS, is that the parts are totally interchangeable, and have been so for over twenty years. That leads to endless options for mixing and matching different parts to make you own unique gun.

That may not be you intention, at all, but it's worth noting that. Therefore, the 90-Two is not going to play well, and neither will the 92A1. It might look similar to the M9A1, but it isn't the slide is a different shape, and that means that you can't really interchange the parts between a standard 92 or M9.
