Glock gen 4 and gen 3 compatible?

Can someone confirm if a complete gen3 glock slide would fit a gen4 frame and actually work.

Can it be done? Im sure it can but I wouldn't want to be the one who is testing it. The frame is different where the recoil spring sits. The dust cover has been shaved out to fit the dual spring recoil rod. Personally I don't like it because the plastic feels too thin when mounting a light on the rail. I've seen videos of the side popping forward with a weaponlight attached.

i don't think it'll work..only the magazines work with gen 3 and gen 4...

Thanks, was thinking of slapping a G34 gen3 complete slide to my gen4 G35.

The internal dimensions of the Gen4 frame will not allow a previous (1st-3rd) generation slide to work on it.
