Questionable looking ammo for my XD40

So i went to the Glendale Gun Show earlier today and picked up different brands of ammo to shoot in my new XD40 hoping it will eat any FMJ and JHP of different weights. I bought a box of Winchester bonded .40 180 gr JHP and when i got home i opened the box and they looked like this:

There was a big crown with parctically no walking space and a long waiting time to buy ammo so i made the mistake of not inspecting it before i bought it since i wanted to get out of there asap (dont like being rubbed up against by strange men) and cant remember the name of the booth but the box of 50 was only $12.

Ive manually cycled a mag thru my XD (firing pin removed for safety) and all 10 fed and ejected flawlessly and fit in the chamber perfectly.

Im no expert but i was wondering if these are safe to shoot. Could they be reloads, bad primers or bad factory ammo? Ive never seen blue glue or whatever that stuff is around a primer.

I've noticed that a lot of Winchester's pistol ammo looks "dirty" out of the box. I've gotten quite a few boxes with that black smudge on the headstamps before and they all fired fine. Those look like someone tried to seal the primers but they either did it wrong or got some solvent on the bases.

I'd shoot 'em, but if you don't have a good feeling about them, then you shouldn't.

Yeah this is like the third time i get a box of dirty looking Winchester ammo but never this much that actually worried me. I tend to stay away from the white box stuff but being only $12 and JHP I thought id be good to test a box.

Don't worry about it- it's sloppy primer sealant. Fire off a mag or two to test if youre paranoid about it.
