Does Glock make a 20C SF?????

I was just curious if anyone knew if Glock manufactured 20C SF "Short Frame"??? This would definitely be of interest to me.

I always thought SF meant slim frame. Guess I was wrong

        I don't think so either.

        G21SF with a G20C-upper should work.
That will net you a couple of calibers, with a SF frame

Yea that's what I figured, although compensated slides don't pop up that often. Anyone know if a company can cut out the slide on a standard G20 slide?

Buy a Glock 20SF (short frame) which is a normal Glock. (as well as the Glock 20, which has the standard frame)

Just to let you know that the C model really doesn't make much difference in recoil; what it does is vent flaming dirt up above the gun and is really a pain in the ***.

A Glock 20, 10MM has about as much kick as a 1911 .45....which isn't much either. The poly frame soaks up a lot of recoil. Follow up shots are easy.

AHHH good to know, I have the 20, but a buddy of mine swears by his 20C, I just didn't feel like buying a whole new pistol.

I found there to be a perceptible difference when shooting Glock 21 versus Glock 21c when I worked at a range.

That said, the point of the 10mm cartridge is to get maximum power out of the thing, I don't know much about 10mm and optimum velocity vs. barrel length, but I assume if glock is making and selling 5" barrels for the glock 20 that the standard barrel doesn't build full pressure with most loads, and that a C model would sacrifice power...

Furthermore, during the course of working at said range I saw a glock 19c "blow its top" the front sight, and a semicircle of metal from the top of the slide (attached to the front sight)came with it.

There can always be reasons where porting is a good decision, but I would say for a defensive sidearm or a service pistol it is always a bad choice... I can't say I ever experienced an issue with flaming dirt / unburned powder coming from the ports, but I can see that happening with old or lower quality ammo, but the jets of flame that come out of the 9mm alone will spot blind you in a low light situation which is a deal breaker for defensive or sidearm use. (It was bad enough in a well lit indoor range.)

My long-lost buddy, who is a 10mm fanatic ended up with a Glock 20 as a companion for his custom S&W 1006 and they were both awesome guns to shoot, the 1006 was a much smoother ride though.

This is truth. The G20 is an easy shooting gun. A compensated barrel is a solution in search of a problem.
