    Does a retired LEO need to wait for 10 days after buying a pistol.

      To explain further, if you are a retired LEO, there should be no reason for you to be exempt from the waiting period. The way active duty LEO can surpass the waiting period is with a letter from the chief on department letterhead. otherwise, you are exempt from the safe handling demo. Hope this helps
