Anyone here have or tried the Sig 229 DAK? It's a double action only trigger at 6.5lbs...If you have tried it or have it already how do you like it compared to the original DA/SA trigger? Reason i ask is because on Sigs website it's $150 cheaper for the DAK compared to the DA/SA sigs...

I've personally shot a DAK Sig. I suppose it's advantageous for there to be a consistent trigger pull. For me, they're ok. I definitely prefer the DA/SA Sigs. But this is all subjective. I recommend going to the range and trying both if they have them, and pick the one you shoot better. Just my .02 -
yeah that's the reason why i might like it is because of the consistent trigger pull...i usually shoot glocks and xd's that's why...i guess i'll have to rent one..not sure if they even have them for rent in my area...I've personally shot a DAK Sig. The DAK is neat. Its better than there standard DAO system, much better. The P250 has a better overall DAO trigger like system than the DAK or DAO since its unique. I do want a P229 .357 or P239 .357 DAK someday but only after I've got more DA/SA Sigs. Thats where sig shines.Anyone here have or tried the Sig 229 DAK? I think you'd like the DAK models, but its really only describable if you've shot a smith revolver lets say. Its that smooth and light but still a long pull.
I've even thought about the NY1 spring myself for the G17, but I'm sorta not seeing the need unless its a lighter break.Comment

You have two trigger pulls with the DAK. IMHO, get a DA/SA model. The 1st 10# pull is not bad, and the single action is the best you will find in a factory trigger.Anyone here have or tried the Sig 229 DAK? It does apparently, I never tried it. Since they told me it was like a revolver trigger I let it return all the way like a revolver does, it was a sweet smooth trigger. I've heard if you ride the first part to the first "reset" so to speak, that its heavier, I never noticed or tried that.Comment

That was an unwanted feature when Kellerman made it... It has to do with leverage... Think of a teeter-totter pivoting at 30% then at 40%.It does apparently, I never tried it. Good to know. I've shot them a few times, just out of wondering when did the DAK come out? I couldnt find a date.
Either way DAK isnt a bad option, I'd still prefer DA/SA but DAK is much better than the standard DAO they sell.Comment

I agree for Sig classics, DAK is way better than DAO. The P250 though... Gotta be the smoothest trigger I have ever felt... Just long."Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest."~M.Twain~Comment
