Normal. That notch is for installation only. After the slide cycles the spring will move down. No worries.May the Bridges I burn light the way.

That's the way it work's. If your rounds are going high and left, that's a shooter problem and not a recoil spring issue.Comment

All above are correct; perfectly normal./Chris

Idk about shooter problem i even brought the target 5yards close n was still flying high, maye it was the crap reload ammo i was givwnComment

If they were flying high and left consistently, then it's not your ammo. I'd say it's just your style of shooting and adjust your POA accordingly.
The recoil spring isn't an issue./Chris

I swapped the recoil spring for one of those aftermarket stainless ones on a brand new G21SF, my sights were off terribly shooting high and left of center. After some troubleshooting the conclusion was that fancy $30 recoil spring I swapped out changed the way the slide locks up to the frame. back to the factory designed glock recoil sping, and problem solved. Lesson learned, it was a already a good design, not much chance that another company outside of Glock is going to make something better that they didnt already consider doing themselves."Don't make the same mistake twice or you might never get to them all."Comment
