    Glock mag question

I just purchased a G3/G17 with a 10 round mag. My question is, if I were to leave the state of CA would I be able to put a 17 round mag or a 32 round mag for that matter into the glock? Is there a difference in design between different capacity mags except for the load factor?

No problem. Many shooters here in Kalifornistan have magazine rebuild kits that are assembled in Nevada or Arizona (for instance) when they go shooting in the desert, play guns games, or compete out of State.

    Perfectly legal.

The magazines are taken apart before crossing back into Looney Land.

    Be well, Bob

PS..no difference between glock mag designs. My 1988 17 round mag fits into my 2011 Glock 17 and runs no problem.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

What I meant was can I buy higher capacity mags for when I move out of Kalifornistan, or Cal.S.S.R. to KY or WY. and will they fit in my new Glock?

Also, when it comes to after market barrels, which ones are good that have the fully supported chamber. I don't want to break the bank either.

Well, you can buy the higher capacity magazines WHEN you move out of California, not now while you are in CA FOR the day when you move out. As mentioned, the gun itself is not different for CA, they can take any magazine made for that caliber (except compact mags won't fit a full size one because they'll be too short).

Wait until you move out of CA, then buy the magazines for cheap in another state. Read the forum sticky on magazines.

You cannot buy assembled high capacity magazines in California. You can buy rebuild kits (taken apart in plastic bags). They will fit no problem.

Lonewolf works for 9MM aftermarket barrels. Chamber is smaller and will run lead without issues. Cost effective. I own several myself. In many calibers.

Be well and welcome to Cal Guns.

Yes it will fit, 10 rounders and normal capacity are the same size/shape on the outside.

The unsupported chamber complaints were on the larger calibers, not the 9mm. Also they are now designed with a more square ramp which supports the chamber as well as any barrel I've seen in a semi auto. I wouldn't worry about it unless you want to run lead.

The magazine is designed differently, not the gun. Rest assured older and newer standard and high capacity magazines will fit and in my opinion be more reliable.
